The set's $500 price tag reflected its ambitious aspirations. The model was truly astounding, though: It featured movable laser turrets, incredible detail and a smoother, more refined appearance than the ship's previous incarnations. And unfortunately, aside from the cockpit, which was designed for the five minifigures to inhabit, the ship did not feature any interior compartments. I think the Falcon deserved to be in first. In contrast, the previous minifigure-scale versions of the ship had reproduced the ship smaller than it would truly have been based on its appearance in the movies. The Millennium Falcon is a formidable set, I used to own the 2nd largest LEGO set ever made, with the Millennium Falcon being first (2nd was the Hogwarts Castle, would recommend the castle great set) But then they came out with the dumb 31203 World Map, and the 10276 Colosseum. It was also the first Ultimate Collector's Series set built to minifigure scale. The model was the largest set released at that time, according to the fan-written website Brickipedia, comprising 5,197 pieces and measuring 33 inches long by 22 inches wide by 8.3 inches tall. The model is certainly worth the premium price, however. /rebates/2fen-us2fkids2fsets2ftechnic2fmillennium-falcon-6b125ebe5ede47f69ff2b5c8555e3f68&. Lego outdid itself in 2007, when the company released the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon. Make sure you get a gift receipt for the LEGO 'Star Wars' Ultimate Millennium Falcon (item 75192), because it will set you back 849.95.
